Symrise reports strong Q3 FY26 results with USD 1.5M in sales

GERMANY – Symrise AG has delivered organic sales growth of 5.3% in the third quarter of 2026, surpassing expectations.

Regionally, Asia Pacific led with double-digit growth, followed by strong performance in Latin America and solid growth in North America; Europe, Africa & Middle East grew moderately.

Group sales rose to €1,310 million (USD 1.46 million) in the third quarter, up from €1,222 million (USD 1.36 million) in the same period last year.

For the first nine months of 2026, sales reached €3,850 million (USD 1.29 million), compared with €3,776 million (USD 4.21 million) a year earlier, representing organic growth of 3.0%.

Chief Executive Officer Dr Jean-Yves Parisot said the strong quarter reflected positive momentum in resilient underlying markets, strong customer relationships, and the commitment of Symrise teams. He added that the company continues to deliver differentiated customer value through disciplined execution, while advancing its strategic priorities by refining its portfolio and progressing the ONE SYM Transformation.

In Scent & Care, organic sales grew by 5.6% in the third quarter, while reported sales increased to €520 million (USD 579.4 million)  from €487 million (USD 542.663 million) a year earlier.

The Fragrance Division delivered mid-single-digit organic growth, with Consumer Fragrance growing at a high-single-digit rate and Fine Fragrance growing at a low-single-digit rate, supported by continued project activity.

The Care & Wellness Division returned to growth with low-single-digit organic sales growth and continued sequential improvement; Advanced Actives and Probiotics grew by double digits, while UV Filters declined by double digits.

The Aroma Molecules Division sustained strong momentum with high-single-digit organic growth, helped by favourable comparables.

Performance was driven by double-digit growth in Menthol and mid-single-digit growth in Specialty Fragrance Ingredients.

For the first nine months of 2026, Scent & Care recorded organic sales growth of 1.8%, with reported sales of €1,530 million (USD 1.70 million) compared with €1,513 million (USD 1.68 million) in the prior-year period.

The company continued to implement its ONE Symrise Strategy through active portfolio management and targeted investment in growth.

It completed the divestment of its Terpenes business and acquired Floral Concept, while its investment in Maison Lautier 1795 further strengthens its position in Premium Naturals.

Symrise is also investing in organic capacity, including in Aroma Molecules. These measures are intended to sharpen the portfolio, direct resources toward higher-growth and innovation-led businesses, and improve earnings quality.

At the same time, the ONE SYM Transformation has moved from organisational redesign into implementation, with four priorities: commercial excellence, differentiated innovation, scale benefits, and digitalisation.

By standardising processes, using its global scale, and improving execution, Symrise aims to generate efficiencies that can be reinvested in growth opportunities.

The company believes this approach will strengthen customer competitiveness and support durable, profitable growth above the market rate.

Symrise reaffirmed its full-year 2026 guidance, expecting organic sales growth of 2% to 4%, an adjusted EBITDA margin of 21.5% to 22.5%, and an adjusted business free cash flow margin above 14%.

For the full year, it expects organic growth close to the midpoint of the range.

Fourth-quarter growth is anticipated to moderate from the third-quarter level because of tougher prior-year comparisons, while the adjusted EBITDA margin is expected to fall within the lower half of the guidance range due to disciplined reinvestment in IT, innovation, and people.

The outlook is supported by faster execution of the ONE SYM Transformation, strong project activity with key customers, a solid pipeline of new solutions, and the resilience of Symrise’s core end markets.
