The launch forms part of BASF’s presentation of future beauty innovations at in-cosmetics Asia 2026.

THAILAND – BASF has launched Lincare, an active ingredient developed for post-laser skin care, at in-cosmetics Asia in Bangkok, Thailand.
Derived from flaxseed hull oligosaccharides, the ingredient is designed to support several stages of skin recovery while helping improve the skin’s healthy-looking, rejuvenated appearance following treatment.
As aesthetic treatments become increasingly mainstream, consumers are seeking products that support recovery while delivering additional rejuvenation benefits.
According to BASF, Lincare addresses this demand by supporting key skin-recovery mechanisms and helping enhance visible aesthetic results.
Lucilene Veira Nunes, Global Business Management, Beauty Care Solutions at BASF, said the growing convergence of aesthetics and skin care is creating opportunities for innovation throughout the beauty industry.
She described Lincare as reflecting BASF’s commitment to advancing skin science and enabling the development of next-generation post-procedure beauty solutions.
Lincare is formulated to soothe post-treatment skin, support epidermal recovery, promote extracellular matrix remodelling and strengthen the skin barrier.
These functions are intended to complement the visible rejuvenation benefits of laser procedures.
According to clinical findings reported by BASF, a formulation containing 1% Lincare helped the skin barrier recover 21% faster following non-ablative fractional laser treatment, enabling recovery approximately 1.2 days earlier than placebo.
The formulation also improved barrier performance beyond pre-treatment levels, delivering up to twice the barrier improvement observed with placebo after 14 days.
Clinical assessments also showed greater improvements in visible signs of ageing when Lincare was included in the post-laser skin-care routine, compared with the group without the ingredient.
The reported results included 1.8 times greater improvement in the appearance of forehead fine lines, 1.5 times greater improvement in crow’s feet and 1.4 times greater improvement in nasolabial folds.
Participants using Lincare also achieved up to 16% greater skin density after 56 days, while laser treatment alone produced no measurable improvement over the same period.
The clinical evaluation followed non-ablative fractional 1565 nm laser treatment.
BASF presents these findings as supporting Lincare’s multifunctional role in helping skin regain a healthy-looking appearance sooner while enhancing visible rejuvenation outcomes.
In addition, BASF will showcase “Beyond Beauty: Future Unlocked,” marking a significant expansion of its exhibition presence and highlighting its commitment to the growing Asia-Pacific beauty and personal care market.
Alongside Lincare, the company will present innovations spanning skin regeneration, sun protection, active delivery, cleansing and sensorial formulations.
The portfolio includes Tinosorb® A2B, BASF’s latest UV-filter innovation, featured in advanced sun-care concepts combining high-performance protection with cosmetic appeal.
Emulgade® Verde PE, a naturally derived emulsifier, is designed to enable safe, efficient delivery of hydrophilic actives through the stratum corneum and support high-performance skin-care formulations.
BASF will also showcase Plantapon® Amino ASP, which supports gentle yet effective cleansing for skin, oral and hair care applications, and NeoHelix™ Regenerate, which uses the company’s Collagen Hybridizing Peptide technology to support skin regeneration and healthy ageing.
Formulation prototypes and technical displays will demonstrate how these technologies can contribute to product performance, sensory appeal and differentiation.
