According to Saint-Gobain, the investment will strengthen local manufacturing of high-value-added construction chemicals.

TURKEY – Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals, a major global business unit of Saint-Gobain, has begun operations at a newly commissioned production plant in Tuzla, Istanbul.
Built to meet international environmental, occupational health, and safety requirements, the facility is the company’s 12th factory in Türkiye and forms an important element of its sustainable growth plans.
The Tuzla plant has been planned to handle Saint-Gobain’s current range of products while also allowing for future production of advanced, next-generation technical solutions.
Its location is intended to enable rapid and reliable supply to customers in Türkiye as well as nearby regional markets.
The company points to the site’s modern infrastructure, stringent quality standards, and efficient operations as central strengths.
The facility’s capacity and design are also aligned with Saint-Gobain’s longer-term, innovation-led strategy for Türkiye and Central Asia.
Osman İlgen, Vice President of Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals Türkiye and Central Asia, described the opening as a major milestone: “With the production facility we have commissioned in Tuzla, we are bringing together our global know-how in the field of construction chemicals with our advanced technical capabilities and local production strength, thereby expanding our sphere of influence. With this facility, structured to Saint-Gobain standards, we will respond much more quickly to our customers’ needs for high-quality technical products, while further consolidating our position as a pioneer and reference point in the industry.”
The plant has been designed with future expansion in mind, supporting opportunities in emerging construction-chemicals technologies and solutions.
Saint-Gobain positions the investment as a step toward reinforcing its role in light and sustainable construction in Türkiye, alongside its broader regional growth ambitions.
