The new facility reflects Proya’s ambition to expand globally while strengthening its connections with local scientific, industrial, and innovation communities.

FRANCE – Proya Cosmetics has unveiled a new Innovation Centre Laboratory in Suresnes, France, marking a major new phase in the company’s international development and its growing presence in Europe.
The laboratory was inaugurated following the establishment of the PROYA EUROPE INNOVATION CENTER at La Défense in Paris in 2024.
The Europe Innovation Centre Laboratory will complement Proya Cosmetics’ three existing research, development, and innovation centres and is intended to create meaningful collaboration within the company’s global R&D ecosystem.
It will focus on fields where Europe has strong scientific and technological expertise, including longevity, skin biology, biotechnology, and sustainable ingredients and technologies.
The laboratory will also collaborate with Proya’s R&D centre in Hangzhou Longwu, China, which specializes in formulation, ingredients, product safety and efficacy, and both fundamental and applied research.
In addition, it will work with the company’s Shanghai centre, which concentrates on hair care and the scalp microbiome.
Spanning 450 square meters, the new laboratory is equipped with 76 advanced pieces of equipment and supported by seven dedicated researchers.
It is expected to generate new scientific knowledge, open up new research areas with strong growth potential, and encourage greater scientific and industrial collaboration across Europe.
Mr. Hou Juncheng, Founder and Chairman of Proya Cosmetics, stated, “This Europe Innovation Centre Laboratory connects the European and Chinese ecosystems to draw on combined strengths and create new innovation capabilities through the interaction of scientific, cultural and consumer perspectives.”
The inauguration event brought together numerous scientific and institutional partners, as well as companies from across the industry.
It was followed by COSMETIC 360, the international trade show for the fragrance and cosmetics sector, held at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris on October 14 and 15, 2026.
At the exhibition, Proya Cosmetics presented its research activities to more than 5,500 visitors from 70 countries.
Proya also participated in the show’s Innovation Challenges, which were organized this year under the theme “REGENERATIONS.”
Through this initiative, the company met with project leaders to explore how their technologies could be applied in the cosmetics sector and to identify the research and development adaptations required for practical implementation.
