Haus Labs appoints Lady Gaga as new Chief Executive Officer
The leadership change took effect immediately.
USA – Lady Gaga has stepped into the role of Chief Executive Officer at her cosmetics company, Haus Labs, taking over from co-founder and former CEO Ben Jones, who left the business earlier this month.
In her new position, Gaga will lead the company’s commercial operations while continuing to oversee its creative direction and product development.
Gaga stated, “Ben and I started Haus Labs together eight years ago, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built.”
“I’m excited to take on a more active role in the company and work alongside our incredible team to build on everything we’ve accomplished together.”
Before joining Haus Labs, Jones worked as Chief Digital Officer at The Honest Company, the consumer-products company established by actor Jessica Alba.
At Haus Labs, he played a key role in reshaping the brand from its initial Amazon-only model into a broader retail and product business.
Gaga introduced the company in 2019 under the name Haus Laboratories, making it the first beauty brand to debut exclusively on Amazon.
In 2022, it was relaunched as Haus Labs by Lady Gaga, featuring refreshed branding and reformulated products centred on skincare-inspired ingredients, vegan formulations, and cruelty-free standards.
The relaunch also included a direct-to-consumer website and packaging made with materials such as glass, aluminium, cellulose, and post-consumer recycled components, alongside FSC-certified paper.
The brand later expanded its distribution to Sephora.
Outside Haus Labs, Gaga is also involved with Outer Bio, a skin-research company she co-founded with entrepreneur Michael Polansky.
In August, the company publicly unveiled its Yuna discovery platform, which focuses on studying skin health and bioactive ingredients.
Haus Labs by Lady Gaga is a premium, vegan, and cruelty-free beauty brand that offers skincare-infused makeup products across the face, lip, cheek, and eye categories.
Its portfolio includes complexion products such as the Triclone™ Skin Tech Foundation and Concealer, lip products including Atomic Shake Lip Lacquer and PhD Hybrid Lip Oil, cheek products such as blushes, bronzers, and highlighters, as well as eyeliners, mascaras, and professional makeup brushes.
The brand is particularly known for combining high-performance cosmetics with skin-loving ingredients such as fermented arnica and bio-fermented complexes.
