The deal is expected to create opportunities to introduce complementary products and technologies to both existing and new customers worldwide.

AUSTRALIA – Soudal Group, the largest independent European manufacturer of sealants, adhesives and polyurethane foams, has acquired Cohesive Tec, an Australian producer of adhesives, sealants, and aerosol products that serves the manufacturing, assembly, and construction industries.
Cohesive Tec, which is based in Canberra and runs two production facilities, becomes a strategic addition to Soudal’s Asia-Pacific operations.
The two Australian sites will now serve as Soudal’s 35th and 36th manufacturing facilities globally, while the group’s revenue, including Cohesive Tec’s budgeted 2026 turnover, is expected to surpass EUR 1.6 billion.
Cohesive Tec supplies several key markets, including woodworking, construction, upholstery, flooring, HVAC, and transportation.
Its Tensor Grip, Sabre, and HeroGrip brands are well established in Australia and New Zealand, where the company is the only local manufacturer of several important products.
The business has also developed a presence in other Asian markets and, with more than 25 years of experience, has built a particularly strong reputation in canister and aerosol adhesive technology.
The acquisition is driven by Cohesive Tec’s strong performance in high-performance adhesives and its long-term growth potential.
The company has recorded sustained double-digit growth among a broad customer base of professional and industrial users.
It currently employs 66 people, and its workforce is expected to expand as it pursues its growth plans.
Cohesive Tec will continue operating through its existing organisation, management team, and regional platform, while retaining its established brand names and customer-focused approach.
At the same time, Soudal’s international network will provide additional resources, technology, and expertise to support Cohesive Tec’s future development.
