Svérve Beauty launches in India’s D2C skincare market

India’s direct-to-consumer (D2C) beauty sector continues to expand as consumers seek skincare and beauty solutions tailored to their individual skin concerns, local climate conditions, and daily routines.

INDIA – Svérve Beauty, a new D2C beauty brand founded by makeup artist Sukanya Manerikar, has entered India’s beauty and skincare market, focusing on products tailored to Indian skin types, climate, and everyday routines.

Drawing on her experience working with diverse skin tones and skin types, Manerikar aims to combine professional beauty expertise with practical skincare solutions designed for daily use.

The brand’s launch portfolio features Skinthesis SPF 50 PA++++, a sunscreen formulated with Niacinamide, Tranexamic Acid, Centella Asiatica, Licorice Root, and Ectoin.

The formulation is designed to provide sun protection while supporting skin hydration, barrier care, and makeup application.

According to the brand, the product addresses common sunscreen-related concerns, including heavy textures, greasy finishes, eye irritation, and white cast.

Commenting on the launch, Sukanya Manerikar, Founder of Svérve Beauty, said, “As a makeup artist, I have worked with different skin types and have seen firsthand how products can behave very differently depending on the skin, climate, and routine.”

“Svérve Beauty was born from those real experiences. We aim to create products that are thoughtful, comfortable, and genuinely relevant to the way Indian consumers experience beauty.”

The company is adopting a direct-to-consumer-first strategy, allowing it to build relationships with customers and gain insights into evolving skincare and beauty preferences.

Its digital platform also features a skin quiz and personalised product recommendations to help consumers identify products suited to their individual needs.

Svérve Beauty’s entry comes as Indian consumers increasingly prioritise ingredient transparency, product performance, and personalised skincare routines.

Demand for targeted beauty solutions, ingredients associated with dermatological care, and multifunctional skincare formulations continues to grow across online beauty marketplaces and D2C channels.

The brand plans to expand its portfolio with products centred on functionality, comfort, and professional beauty expertise.

Its approach will focus on everyday skincare concerns influenced by climate, diverse skin tones, texture preferences, and ease of use.

Currently available through online channels, Svérve Beauty enters India’s expanding independent beauty and skincare sector, where digitally driven D2C brands are gaining traction by offering specialised products and engaging directly with consumers.
