Revieve unveils beauty large language model suite

The launch reflects Revieve’s ambition to extend beauty technology beyond traditional product recommendations and commerce into connected personal care, personalised wellness, and AI-driven consumer experiences.

USA – Revieve has introduced its Beauty LLM (large language model) Suite, designed to connect information about individuals’ skin, ingredients, beauty products, routines, behaviours, preferences, and brands to deliver more personalised beauty experiences.

The company aims to bridge general-purpose artificial intelligence (AI) with specialised personal care expertise, making its Beauty Intelligence technology accessible to beauty brands, retailers, device manufacturers, wellness platforms, connected technologies, and emerging AI-powered applications.

Sampo Parkkinen, CEO and co-founder of Revieve, stated, “For a decade, we have been building intelligence around beauty, not simply how to analyze skin or recommend a product, but how the many dimensions of beauty connect.”

The suite combines a decade of specialised beauty knowledge with a domain-specific AI architecture built on patented AI and computer-vision technology for skin and facial analysis.

It incorporates information on global beauty products, ingredients, formulations, claims, benefits, personalised routines, recommendations, and brand-specific expertise developed through collaborations with beauty companies and retailers worldwide.

Revieve’s technology is designed to understand how these elements interact.

According to the company, a skin concern can be linked to relevant ingredients, formulations, and products, while recommendations can account for individual goals, preferences, behaviours, and existing routines.

The Beauty LLM Suite comprises six interconnected intelligence domains: Skin Intelligence, Ingredient Intelligence, Product Intelligence, Routine Intelligence, Beauty Lifestyle Intelligence, and Brand Intelligence.

Each can operate independently or be combined according to the needs of a particular application.

These capabilities support skin analysis, ingredient and product insights, personalised skincare guidance, routine development, product discovery, professional services, and conversational or AI-agent applications.

Brand Intelligence also enables companies to integrate their own products, terminology, philosophies, protocols, and expertise into AI-powered experiences.

The suite powers the Beauty Intelligence layer of Revieve’s BeautyCatalyst platform and is intended to help beauty and personal care businesses incorporate specialised AI capabilities without having to develop the underlying expertise themselves.

Irina Mazur, Revieve’s chief commercial and marketing officer, said the next generation of AI experiences would increasingly combine general-purpose AI’s broad reasoning capabilities with specialised industry knowledge.

She highlighted opportunities to connect beauty intelligence with information from wearables, connected devices, and wellness platforms that may provide insights into sleep, activity, environmental conditions, and daily behaviours.

Revieve believes these integrations could support adaptive personal care routines and intelligent experiences that respond to changes in consumers’ lifestyles and skincare needs.

With appropriate consumer permission and partner integrations, the technology could combine information from different systems to provide a more comprehensive understanding of individual needs.
