Iberchem unveils NUBIRAWAVE smart digital fragrance palette

SPAIN – Iberchem expands its digital fragrance innovation with the launch of NUBIRAWAVE, a digital platform for creating fragrances.

Following the 2025 introduction of O-DOOR®, Iberchem continues to incorporate data-driven technologies into its fragrance-creation process, giving perfumers enhanced creativity, flexibility, and precision.

NUBIRAWAVE® is Iberchem’s new smart digital palette, created to support the development of customized fragrances with blooming performance and, when needed, targeted emotional benefits. 

This 2-in-1 digital platform brings together blooming diffusion physics and neuroscience insights to help design fragrances that offer improved performance and a longer-lasting sensory experience during use.

The technology was developed specifically for rinse-off products in personal care and home care, including body washes, shampoos, and dishwashing liquids. 

These applications create the ideal environment for blooming diffusion technology, which is triggered by the combination of water, friction, heat, and humidity during product use.

Traditional rinse-off products can lose up to 80% of their fragrance during use. By integrating blooming diffusion technology, fragrance release can be optimized, improving both fragrance intensity and longevity throughout the consumer experience, now with better performance than Iberchem’s earlier technology, NeoLift®.

NUBIRAWAVE® supports fragrance development by digitally analyzing the physical properties of fragrance ingredients alongside emotional-response data collected through Iberchem’s neuroscientific research program, WAVEMOTION®. 

By combining these two data sets, the platform identifies the most suitable ingredients, helping perfumers create fragrances that deliver both enhanced blooming performance and, optionally, targeted emotional benefits.

Recently, Iberchem introduced NovaSilk®, its latest alcohol-free fragrance technology, in response to growing interest in alcohol-free fragrance formulations.

Developed by Iberchem’s in-house scientific team, NovaSilk® is a concentrated, alcohol-free fragrance formula. 

It is supplied ready to be diluted in water, allowing brands to create fine fragrances for a variety of end-consumer applications while avoiding the use and transportation of alcohol. 

Available in two versions, NovaSilk® and NovaSilk® Clear, the technology offers flexibility and can be adapted to meet individual brands’ specific needs.

NovaSilk® was unveiled for the first time at the 2026 edition of In-Cosmetics Global in Paris. It is characterized as an opaque-profile macroemulsion with a fluid, silky texture and a slightly opalescent finish on the skin, delivering an immersive sensory experience.

NovaSilk® Clear, meanwhile, is a transparent microemulsion with a light, fresh, hydrating texture that delivers a feeling of purity and transparency upon application.
